Producer: Almazaras de la Subbetica in Southern Spain`s Cordoba region, is one of Spain`s best cooperatives awarded an environmental stewardship award by the Spanish government.

Less than 2% of premium groves are used for this oil.  Small-family owned olive groves have to be accepted into the cooperative and trained, technicians choose best quality olive groves at harvest, each batch is tested for chemical purity and tasted for decision on whether accepted for Parqueoliva Gold Series or assigned to  mass-market brands.

The non-Organic version of Rincon de la Subbetica although trees are situated in mountain region generally at 70% inclines making it very natural cultivation due to physical barriers.  Extensive annual international recognition includes over 50 special mentions/awards since 2006 in Addition to 7 `Best of Spain` Awards from the Spanish government since 2004:

TASTE EXPERIENCE:

An incredible experience for lovers of a wide range of complex flavours !

Slightly more intense and more discernible herbal notes than Rincon de la Subbetica.

Very harmonious and balanced `earthy` style. Smooth and initially sweet. Notes of Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and mint combine with nuances of tomato, artichoke and fruits such as apple.  Well balanced, yet definitive pepper and delightful delicate bitterness. (Pepper and bitter nuances are signs of high levels of antioxidants, and disappear when paired with food.)

SPECIAL FOOD PAIRINGS:

For meats and white fish, seafood, any vegetable dish except strong cabbage, over tomato sauces, stir-frying, potato and egg-based dishes or sauces such as Hollandaise sauce.
